I spent 10 days with friends aboard a sailboat in the waters of the U.S. and British Virgin Islands in May of 2003. It was a wonderful adventure and an opportunity to take some great pictures. There is nothing quite like a Caribbean sunset or sunrise, and most of the photos you see here were taken either at the beginning of the day or the end of the day, when the sun was near the horizon. The dynamics of sun and sea and warm tropical weather interacted to produce some wonderful photo opportunities.
